Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

Founded by Juneydi Farah, a journalist based in the UK and Dr. Ahmed Abdi Osman. Our journey began during Juneydi’s visit to Ba’ad village in rural central Somalia’s Hiran region in 2020. The village, much like many others in Somalia, has endured over 30 years of civil war and a weak government, resulting in a lack of essential services, including education and healthcare.

During this visit, the absence of services, particularly the non-existent school and healthcare facilities, left a lasting impression on Juneydi. The dire conditions and forgotten nature of the village prompted him to take action, focusing on the pressing issue of education, especially for young girls at risk of early marriages—a common challenge in Somalia’s rural areas.
